Chevre? Que?

In 2014 I booked a first (and once in a lifetime) cycling trip to the Alps, hosted by Rob of Colconquerors. After two days of shock and awe in the mountains my legs and lungs seemed to respond the climbs and the mountain air on Croix de Fer and Alpe d’huez leading to the exclamation from Rob, “It’s Kev le Chevre”. Well, the grammar , lack of accent and gender may be open to query and whether mountain or nanny goad, but the name stuck and was happily adopted in my numerous trips to the European mountains with Rob and his team. Not mention my Strava reference. d

who am i

I live in Kent and began road cycling as a serious interest in 2006 following ankle surgery.

I consider myself an endurance road cyclist with a strength in mountain tours and sportives. I have completed “Mont Ventoux 3 ways in a day” and do also take part in occasional time trials.

I also enjoy road and cross country running and over the last 7-8 years or so have taken part in a number of standard distance duathlons including . “age group qualifiers” for Team GB Age Group. I represented Team GB in the standard distance duathlon at the European Championships in Bilbao in September 2022 and have qualified for the 2024 championships in Portugal.

I began the British Cycling coaching programme in early 2016 and in July 2019 obtained my Level 3 Coaching qualification in Road and Time Trial. In 2017 I began a UK Athletics running coaching course and completed CIRF qualification in 2021. I am not a naturally strong or fast “competitive” athlete: I have had to apply my coaching knowledge and theory to my own training in order to obtain qualification for the Age Group Team.

I have worked with a range of athletes with events including ironman, time trials, cycling Tours and sportives.

Make it stand out.
